Having a good health is a requirement to participate in Camp Valle Verde. It is very important that you take care of yourself on the days prior to the Camp Session. Any medical condition or special concern, should be notified during registration.

Medications
Guidelines for sending Medications to Camp.
In case you need to send Medications (that cannot be suspended) to Camp with your child, it is important to follow the guidelines listed below in order to ensure your camper's health and safety.

All camper medications (prescription or otherwise) are KEPT IN THE HEALTH CENTER. No camper may keep any medication (including alternative supplements) in the camper cabin. An exception may be made for inhalers and epipens, with the parents' permission.. |

All prescription medications must be sent to Camp in the ORIGINAL CONTAINER, with DISPENSING DIRECTIONS written. |

Please DO NOT send OVER-THE-COUNTER MEDICATIONS such as Tylenol, Advil, Claritin, etc. Our Health Center is well stocked with these medications. |

In recent years, campers have arrived at Camp with a variety of non-prescription, COMPLEMENTARY SUPPLEMENTS such as: Homeopathic Supplements, Vitamin and Mineral Supplements, or Herbal Supplements. Our policy for these products is as follows: (a) - These supplements must be stored at
the Health Center. |
Sunsense
Protective Clothing and Sunscreen
Staff encourage campers to protect themselves by reminding them to wear hats, protective clothing and sunscreen. Campers with sensitive skin must bring sunscreen (SPF 30 or more). Please take time to discuss these preparations with your camper and to provide appropriate sun protection/education.
