Communication
Camp is about building social connections. Making new friends and gaining independence are great outcomes of participating in Valle Verde. But this can't happen if a camper is calling home with questions, comments and concerns. We ask you to insist telling your children to talk about their needs and concerns to counselors, coordinators and their peers. They are always available to support and help them in anything they need.
Don't bring cell phones or radios.
To us at Valle Verde, one of the most important processes is how campers adapt and affirm themselves. Electronics many times isolate kids from their peers at camp. We consider Electronic Communication devices like cell phones and 2-way radios to be an obstacle in all this processes. Our policy is that these devices are not allowed at Camp.
Emergency Phone Calls
While their children are attending camp, Parents are not allowed to visit or call them, except for emergency situations. Whenever necessary, please contact the Camp Office, and we will arrange any communication you need. Campers are allowed to contact their parents in special situations authorized by the Camp Coordinators.
Camp Photos
If you want to know more about what's happening at Camp, we put pictures in the Friends of VV Section of our webpage, during all of our Summer and Spring Camps. The photos are published three to five times a week. The password to access this section will be given to you with some other info on the Opening Day.
