The paramount concern to Camp Valle Verde is the safety and well being of each camper. With an excellent camper to counselor ratio (4:1), constant supervision, a highly trained, caring health staff and an exceptional team of coordinators and directors, we provide every one of our campers with a safe, fun and successful camp experience.
Camper Safety
The buildings and activity areas have been constructed and adapted with the safety of the camper as the paramount concern. The activity equipment is the finest available for our purposes and is meticulously maintained. Just as important, our counselors are extremely skilled in the activities they are teaching and, through years of high-level performance in their specialty, have developed an awareness for the necessity of a safety first attitude.
Our program includes activities of different intensity levels, but in a continuous way. The activities go from 8 am until 10 pm. Thus, the program is very agile, wich contributes to the safety in every moment.
Supervision
At Camp Valle Verde we provide a Camper to Counselor Ratio of 4:1. Campers live in bunks of 8-12 children with one or two counselors, depending on the size and the age of the group. Our campers are supervised at all times, they live and play under the watchful eyes of our highly trained staff 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
Medical Care
Our resident Health Staff oversees the medical needs of our campers. They know that a youngster will need an overdose of "tender loving care" when he has a health problem away from home, and they are prepared to give it, as well as expert medical care.
If a camper is confined to the Health Center for more than a few hours, or is receiving outside care for a special problem, the Health Staff will always consult with his/her parents. We also readily seek the assistance of one of the many fine specialists in the area.
A Health Coordinator is on duty at the Camp Health Center 24 hours a day. Our Health Center is always fully stocked with all necessary medications and medical supplies. All medications are held and dispensed by our Health Staff.
Many of our counselors are fully trained in First-Aid and CPR. We have assistance and procedures in place with the Valle de Bravo Red Cross across the street from Camp and the General Hospital, with a complete emergency room facility, 2 km from Camp.
AXA Seguros México
Valle Verde provides all campers with AXA's Insurance for Personal Accidents.
