Our Camps and Experiences include several services. After each event we use different tools to gather information, in order to make our Camp better. We always make an effort to accomplish the confort and well being of every participant.
Cabins
In
Camp Valle Verde, campers stay in a cabin with other campers the
same age and gender. The cabins are permanent, well-spaced buildings
- electricity, windows, screens, hot and cold water, washing and
sanitary facilities for each cabin. There are 8 to 12 campers and
one or two counselors to a cabin. Every camper sleeps on a bed with
a comfortable mattress and has a space to hold their personal clothing.

Meals
The
food at Camp Valle Verde is prepared by an experienced kitchen staff,
so that it is top quality and kid friendly. Meals are planned well
in advance and are always well balanced and nutritious.
The meals are served family style, and the menus are constantly updated with our campers' input. The counselors supervise that each camper in the cabin is eating in an adequate way.
Buses
Travel
to camp is easy (despite our feeling of remoteness). We are three
hours by car from Mexico City, and one and a half hours from the
city of Toluca. About 90% of children meet in Mexico City and travel
to and from camp on deluxe-chartered buses.
Please contact our office in case you need to make special transportation arrangements.
Program and Activities
We've
developed our programs and philosophy carefully with
the knowledge that camp is an integral part of a child's educational
process.
We provide a structured balance among different type of activities including sports, hobbies, recreational, social, skill training, pioneering and arts activities.

Clubs Instruction
Our
Clubs Programs include different sports and crafts where campers
develop skills and knowledge. The instruction is superb, with certified
instructors and all the equipment required for the formal instruction
of each club.

Life at Camp
The
Campers at Valle Verde learn through experience to exercise initiative,
make decisions and to take on responsibility. Camp Valle Verde offers
each camper opportunities for self-expression, for choice, for decisions,
and for the assumption of responsibility for his own and the group's
plans

Order and Maintenance
In
Valle Verd we reinfoce order and cleanliness in cabins, dining room
and all the activity areas. We do have a big maintainance and cleaning
staff, but we also involve the participants in maintaining the order
in the spaces they use.
Supplies and Equipment
We
use a big amount of supplies and equipment for all the activities.
They require a very strict maintainance and administration plan.
On each event we have staff whose responsabilities are providing
all the supplies and equipment we need, and in appropiate conditions.
Personal Care
Our
counselors
are enthusiastic young people who love children and provide good
examples in their personal habits, mature and competent in their
work and with a great sense of humor. Our counselors are role models,
big brothers and sisters, best friends and problem recognizer's.
Their primary responsibility is to take care of the health, and happiness
of the campers with whom they live.
Camp Store and Campers Bank
You
can buy presents for your family and friends, souvenirs or snacks
at the Camp Store, open everyday after lunch.
In order to establish a personal bank account for your camper, please inform us the amount of the deposit you want to make, during your registration, to cover purchases made by your camper during the Camp session.
Photos
Hundreds
of photos are taken every day at camp, including activities, campers,
clubs, counselors and hundreds of special moments. You can see a
few of this photos everyday in the Friends of VV section of our webpage.
If you are interested, at the end of the camp you can get a CD with all the photos.
Communication
In
Valle Verde we think it is very important for participants to establish
healthy and supportive relationships with the people around them.
Cell phones are not allowed.
Nevertheless, communication is always open if the family requires it. Camp Coordinators and Directors will be in contact with the parents whenever necessary.
