How to get your child to camp

Valle Verde provides certain transportation options to help you get your child to camp. Although you can drive your child to camp, you will not be allowed to stay too long. We highly recommend campers to join Valle Verde in Mexico City, and travel by our chartered buses, as it is an important part of the group process.

Airport – Mexico City

We understand and appreciate the logistics of travel arrangements to Camp Valle Verde for residents from outside Mexico City. If your camper is traveling by plane, and you don't have any family or friends to help you with the logistics, we are prepared to meet your camper's flight at the airport one day prior to the start of the session.

When you are arranging air travel, please contact us for some guidelines that you need to keep in mind (times for flights, extra fees, pre and post camp extra stays, documentation, etcetera).

We regret that we cannot be responsible for your camper prior to the scheduled first day of Camp, except for campers arriving by airplane. If you plan to travel to Camp by car or bus, please arrange to arrive on the first day of Camp.

Chartered Bus

Special air-conditioned, chartered buses transport campers between Mexico City and Camp Valle Verde at the beginning and closing of each Camp session. Bus service is free of charge.

If your planning on NOT using the chartered bus service, you must notify us in writing (fax or email) at least two weeks prior to the departure of the bus.

Bus Meeting Point

All bus pick-ups and drop-offs for our camps in Valle de Bravo take place in the Santa Fe area in Mexico City. You will receive more information after you complete the application process for the camp.

Bus Times

Opening Day. All campers must arrive at the meeting point promptly at 10:00 am. There will be Valle Verde Staff waiting to greet you and guide you through the registration process. The buses will leave al 10:45am.
Please do not be late.

Closing Day. On the closing days of each session, campers must be picked up at 5:00 pm for camps in Valle de Bravo, and at 4:00 pm for camps in Hacienda Santa Cruz. Please do not be late.

Automobile

We highly recommend campers to join Valle Verde in Mexico City, and travel by our chartered buses, as it is an important part of the group process.

In case you decide to drive your children to camp or pick them up at the end of the session, it is very important thay you give written notice, with your application.

Driving your child to camp - Please arrive at camp between 1:00pm and 2:00pm on opening day. Once you arrive at camp, we invite you to take a brief look around, meet your child's counselors, and say your goodbyes. Please however, do not linger too long. We understand this may be a difficult process leaving your child perhaps for the first time. However, long goodbyes can make a child's adjustment to camp a harder one. We assure you that we will take the best care of your child.

Picking your child up from camp - On closing day, we ask that you arrive at camp at 1:00pm. A new session will be starting and all campers from the previous session will be gone by that point. Please triple check that your child has all of his or her belongings. While me make every extreme effort to guide the packing process, parents will know best what their child should have with them.
