Hacienda Santa Cruz is located in the western part of the State of Morelos less than 2 hours (130 km) from Mexico City.
It is close to several turistic atractions such as the Cacahuamilpa caves, Xochicalco archeological site, Tequesquitengo lake, Santa Fe Golf Course, Malinalco and the cities of Cuernavaca and Taxco among others.

Santa Cruz is blessed with a warm sub-tropical weather almost all year round with temperatures between 75 and 90º F.

This historical hacienda complex, surrounded by exuberant, flowering gardens, functioned as a monastery and as a sugar mill from the end of the XVII century till the 1920´s, when it was over run by the Mexican revolution.

 

 

To get there from México City by car, take the toll highway 95 to Acapulco (Autopista del Sol), pass Cuernavaca and continue on highway 95 Acapulco direction. Approximately 22 km after passing Cuernavaca, stop at the toll road, take the right side road ¨Balnearios¨ and follow the GRUTAS and ALPUYECA signs. The Hacienda is about 1 km after passing Mazatepec on the left side of the road, 22.5 km from Alpuyeca.
